The Plant Hackers Network

When we launched Elevation™, our goal was to be the #1 system for installing plants vertically. I simply thought "Better ingredients, better Pizza," I had the best Made in the USA system, commercially engineered for success, easy to install, and it kept the plants super happy. How hard can it be?

David Bishop- Founder and CEO of Elevation Vertical Gardens & Living Walls, Inc.

Yeah...I completely misjudged that situation. What I did learn is that in order to succeed we would need to start first with remarkable projects that showcased our system and commitment to customer service. Then we could continue with our mission to "Grow people with Plants."

I'm super excited to announce that we are entering the second phase of our business and are actively recruiting contractors, designers and landscapers across the country to grow their business with living-walls. We've learned a ton of lessons along the way and look forward to sharing those with our Plant Hackers Network.

“We grow people with plants…Vertically”

There are a multitude of benefits of the Plant Hackers Network, and by enlisting an army of peace-loving, plant people, it will increase our impact and mission.

Imagine: With a large network of certified installers, we can establish and maintain high standards for installation practices and quality across the board. This ensures that clients receive consistent, high-quality services regardless of location, enhancing the overall reputation of the living wall industry.

  1. Increased Trust and Credibility: Certification delivers a level of professionalism and expertise. Clients are more likely to trust and choose certified installers for their projects, knowing that they have met certain criteria and standards. This could lead to increased business opportunities for installers within the network.

  2. Collaboration and Sharing of Best Practices: A network of 1,000 installers allows for a robust exchange of knowledge, techniques, and innovations. Installers can learn from each other, share best practices, and collaborate on projects, leading to improvements in installation processes and outcomes.

  3. Economies of Scale: With a large, unified network, you may be able to negotiate better rates for materials, insurance, and other necessities due to the collective buying power. This can lower costs for individual installers and potentially make living walls more affordable and accessible to a wider range of clients.

  4. Enhanced Marketing and Visibility: A unified network can market itself more effectively than individual installers might be able to on their own. Collective marketing efforts, including a shared website, social media presence, and advertising campaigns, can raise the profile of living walls and the network of certified installers, attracting more clients.

  5. Training and Development Opportunities: The network can provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities to its members, ensuring they stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, materials, and installation techniques. This continuous learning environment can help installers to grow their skills and services.

  6. Greater Influence on Industry Standards and Policies: A large, unified group has more clout when it comes to influencing industry standards, regulations, and policies. This can be beneficial in advocating for practices and policies that support the growth and sustainability of the living wall industry.

  7. Networking and Support: Being part of a large network gives installers a sense of belonging and support. They can turn to each other for advice, assistance on large projects, or when facing challenges. This camaraderie can be invaluable, especially for smaller businesses or solo practitioners.

  8. Diversification of Services: With a broad network, there's potential for diversification of services offered to clients, such as maintenance, design consulting, and retrofitting existing structures with living walls. This can open up new revenue streams and business opportunities for installers.

  9. Increased Accessibility and Coverage: A network spanning the entire USA ensures that clients in various geographical locations can access certified living wall installation services. This widespread coverage can significantly increase the market reach and impact of living wall installations, promoting greener, more sustainable urban environments nationwide.

Whether teaching people to grow their own food or elevating the aesthetic with ornamental plants, there has never been a better time to get into the vertical garden and living wall marketplace.
