As Seen on Television

Bringing a Living Wall to Rachael Ray’s Rebuild.

Elevation Living Walls was invited to participate in a residential transformation featured on Rachael Ray’s Rebuild. The project offered an opportunity to demonstrate how thoughtful biophilic design can help restore more than a building—it can help create a renewed sense of home.

Designing a Living Feature for a Meaningful Homecoming.

Television projects move quickly, but a successful living wall still requires careful planning. Plant selection, irrigation, structural coordination, access, lighting, installation sequencing, and long-term plant health all have to work together.

For this project, our team brought the same design-build approach used throughout our luxury residential living wall projects . The objective was not simply to add plants to a room. It was to create an architectural focal point that felt integrated into the rebuilt home and meaningful to the family returning to it.

This behind-the-scenes experience reflects what distinguishes Elevation Living Walls: the ability to move from concept and technical coordination through planting and final installation. The Freshest Flavor in Biophilic Design

There’s nothing quite like snipping fresh basil, mint, or a handful of crisp arugula from your own vertical garden. Now imagine doing it without stepping outside. That’s the beauty of living walls—bringing life, flavor, and freshness right into your space. At Elevation Living Walls, we’re seeing a rising trend: homeowners, chefs, and designers alike are embracing indoor greenery not just for the aesthetics, but for the taste.

Welcome to the future of biophilic design—where growing your own food meets elevated style.

Why Vertical Gardening Makes Sense (and Scents)

The ancient art of growing herbs has gone vertical. Today, living walls are more than just decorative—they’re practical, edible, and purposeful. Whether in a modern kitchen, a luxury restaurant, or an urban loft, these vertical gardens offer a sustainable design solution that doubles as a personal culinary garden.

Practical Benefits of Culinary Living Walls

1. Space-Saving Beauty

Urban dwellers and design-savvy homeowners often face space limitations. Vertical gardening transforms any wall into a green, edible canvas—no backyard required.

2. Wellness Through Nature

Growing herbs like rosemary, thyme, or chamomile indoors adds more than flavor. It boosts air quality, enhances mood, and invites daily interaction with nature—a core principle of biophilic design.

3. Freshness at Your Fingertips

Say goodbye to wilted herbs in plastic clamshells. Vertical gardens keep your ingredients alive and thriving, ensuring a burst of flavor every time you cook.

4. Style with Purpose

Custom-designed herb walls elevate a space visually and functionally. Whether you prefer a minimal modern look or a lush Mediterranean vibe, Elevation Living Walls crafts each installation to harmonize with your style.

What to Grow on Your Vertical Culinary Wall

Not all plants thrive in vertical gardens, but many culinary herbs and leafy greens do exceptionally well. Our team recommends:

  • Herbs: Basil, mint, oregano, parsley, cilantro, chives, thyme, rosemary

  • Greens: Arugula, kale, baby spinach, Swiss chard, mustard greens

  • Edible Flowers: Nasturtiums, violas, calendula (great for garnish and visual appeal)

These varieties grow beautifully in indoor greenery systems with adequate lighting and irrigation. At Elevation Living Walls, we integrate smart lighting and hydroponic or soil-based systems tailored to the plants’ specific needs.

Designing Your Own Herb Wall
Working with a living wall expert ensures optimal placement, plant selection, and longevity. Our design team considers:

Light Levels
Herbs and greens need ample light. We analyze your space’s natural light or provide integrated grow lighting options that blend seamlessly into your design.

Watering Needs
Our walls use eco-friendly irrigation systems that conserve water while ensuring each plant receives just the right amount of moisture—a pillar of sustainable design.

Style & Function
Your culinary wall is custom-crafted to reflect your space. From elegant powder-coated frames to natural wood finishes, your garden will feel like a true design element, not an afterthought.

Grow Green, Live Well

In a world where connection to nature is increasingly scarce, Elevation Living Walls brings the outdoors in—stylishly. Our vertical gardens aren’t just about aesthetics. They’re about wellness, sustainability, and functionality.

From restaurants to chic urban residences, clients trust us to create installations that elevate their interiors and their lifestyles.
